In 2004 the legendary American automobile manufacturer General Motors introduced a new series of compact pickup trucks, called Chevrolet Colorado (the name comes from the American State Colorado). Chevrolet Colorado was manufactured in two generations.
The first generation (2004–2012) was built on the GMT355 platform and featured manual or automatic transmission. It was also available with either a rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive drivetrain. Three types of car body styles were presented as well – standard, extended, and four-door crew cab body styles.
The second generation was launched in 2012. This newest generation was offered in four trim levels and came with a variety of new features – like a chrome front grille, body-colored door handles and side view mirrors. Chevrolet Colorado has become very popular and has won several awards, including Motor Trend's 2015 Truck of the Year Award.
